ALMOST all packed and ready to go to Maridi, Southern Sudan. Volunteering with National Rural Electric Association building a rural electric cooperative. Need to weigh bags one more time. Carrying parts for 1968 International Harvester boom truck; work clothes, lineman boots, and hand tools for the Sudanese lineman trainees; and SKITTLES and SNUFF for the American trainers. Also taking my personal climbing gear and tools. Travel on 10/30 - Eugene to Seattle to Amsterdam to Entebbe, Uganda. Meeting another lineman volunteer from North Carolina, Victor Muhammad, in Amsterdam.
